Erik W. Hetzel, AICP, LEED AP

Mr. Hetzel has been a Senior Planner with Glackin Thomas Panzak since 2004. He has a diverse background in geography, planning, technical management, and in the application of geospatial technologies to planning and engineering projects. During his time at Glackin Thomas Panzak, Mr. Hetzel has prepared numerous community and fiscal impact studies, testified before municipal boards and commissions, analyzed and written zoning ordinances, and managed the preparation of site designs and site plans. Mr. Hetzel also maintains a high proficiency using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for planning analysis, and manages the GIS practice at Glackin Thomas Panzak. His previous experience included a position at Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), where he used his extensive GIS and planning experience to help counties and local governments to define and implement enterprise GIS solutions. Prior to his tenure at ESRI, Erik spent twelve years working for Weston Solutions, Inc. in West Chester, PA as a Technical Manager. There, he worked on projects that ranged from planning and engineering consulting for local townships, to complex environmental analysis and assessment on large projects of regional scope.

Mr. Hetzel has also served as a citizen planner on several local and regional planning boards in Chester County.
